Support Fedaa's Family

Fedaa's Story

Fedaa (pronounced "feed-ah"), her husband Hesham, and their three children: Ghena, Tayyam,
and Lara were displaced from their comfortable home in Gaza City for more than a year. Before the war, Hesham ran a supermarket and Fedaa had a business creating custom embroidered pieces.
The family then lived in a tent in Al Mawasi-Khan Younis, enduring hard conditions and deprivations. Our support has enabled them to purchase warm clothing, blankets, medicine, and food. The family made the long trek on foot back to Gaza City on January 28. Miraculously, their house is still standing. With the current blockade on aid, and renewed bombing, life is extremely difficult for this sweet family. Food prices are sky-high, and everyone lives in fear.It is Fedaa's wish to evacuate Gaza and build a life for her family in peace and safety. Unfortunately, the border crossings remain closed; even if they open, the cost is extremely high to secure crossing: $20K for the whole family. At this time, Fedaa needs our support to be able to buy food and medicine to take care of her family and simply survive. It costs a minimum of $500/week to live in Gaza.About Me:
My name is Evelyn; I have been involved in community organizing, harm reduction, and mutual aid projects for many years. Over the past several months, I have become dear friends with Fedaa. We speak whenever she has internet access (nearly daily). Her family is near and dear to my heart and I have made it my mission to support their survival. I have been coordinating her fundraising efforts and trying to bring light and hope to her family.
